Is Vegan Eating Biblical?

Praise You Father, Son and the Holy Spirit for another day of mercy and grace. Your love is bountifully inspiring, soothing and exuberantly encouraging to propel us to do the right things for eternity, and that is to spread your gospel in your name Lord Yeshua, Jesus Christ. Every good work is of You and from You and all the glory should belong to You only, in Jesus name, thank You. Amen.

There are many misconception about how biblical Christ followers should be Vegans. It actually isn't, even though that was printed in the first chapter in Genesis 1:29 after God had just created everything,

"29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food."

Holy Spirit says that here is why it isn't biblical. Let's look at Genesis 9:3,

"3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs."

Since, every moving thing that lives shall be food for us, we should technically eat even spiders that have venoms in them, biblically speaking. I wonder how biblical should we get?

Then, God decided that maybe, He should be more specific about what we can or cannot eat in Deuteronomy, again blessing us with many good things to enjoy while not getting hurt like eating a venomous spider.

Christ Spirit points out that God loves us dearly and would "bless" us each with things that we desire in our hearts, but how much do we desire to spend time with God who sends us all these blessings?

He commanded us to spend one day a week with Him, calling it Sabbath day from the beginning, letting us know we need to seek Him all throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament in Christ Jesus.

In the Old Testament, Yahweh made it into a law to spend a specific day with Him, studying His words, worshipping Him and seeking Him through prayers, resting in Him. In fact, you can just rest in Him and He will lead you to do either nothing or something with Him that is divine. This was fine until religious priests, also known as the Pharisees decided to be stringent about it and got called out by Christ Jesus in the New Testament.

Luke 14:1-5,

"Now it happened, as He went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath, that they watched Him closely. 2 And behold, there was a certain man before Him who had dropsy. 3 And Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

4 But they kept silent. And He took him and healed him, and let him go. 5 Then He answered them, saying, “Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?” 6 And they could not answer Him regarding these things."

Lord Jesus healed a man with dropsy on Sabbath which was supposed to be a day set aside to be rested in God. Now if Lord Jesus had did it for a wage, then perhaps, Sabbath was broken. Since He didn't, it was divine work of God in Christ.

Do not take this as an indictment for those who cannot afford to take the time off to spend Sabbath with God in Christ. But if you are caught in that situation, we will pray for you to come out of it to be able to seek Him. The truth is, you are missing out so much when you choose material means over the God who created you. Unless of course, you would at least put one day aside to focus on Him.

When you do spend the time to abide in Him though, putting God in Christ first, He will eventually lead you to do God's will, including understanding the Bible scriptures the way that He intends you to. This is something you cannot pay someone else to do for you. No hirelings can save you except the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit who resurrected Him in human form as Son of God, the second side of Him.

Holy Father God, I pray that you who reside in Heaven, receive this message in Jesus name that we need Your guidance, Your power in Your Holy Spirit bestowed to willful believers in Christ Jesus as Your only begotten Son who had atoned for our sins, who is also our King in Your New Kingdom of Paradise, to help us overcome the devil's snares. So that we could change from being selfish to being giving towards all other creations, even though that is not our original nature in flesh or as flesh. Help us walk by the leading of Your Spirit who will deliver us in time by Your grace, through Your strengthening of our faith. Amen.
